This series is inspired by scientific illustrations that capture the forms of radiolaria, single-celled organisms that live in salt water. In particular I am drawn to the intricacy of some radiolarians’ geometric skeletons, full of spicules, spines, and repeated patterns that look so different from what we often understand a body to be.
